.: Celebrations of Sacraments
Baptism
Baptism is the Church's way of celebrating and enacting the embrace of God
who first loved us from the moment of our conception. Baptism celebrates
a family's and a community's experience of that love in the baptized. Baptism
is the sacrament of the initial gift of the Spirit. Parents and sponsors
are required to attend sacrament preparation classes prior to fulfilling
the baptism. Parents are invited to come by
the parish office to set a date.
First Communion
As Catholics, to receive the Eucharist, or Holy Communion - one of the three
Sacraments of Initiation - is one of the most profound ways in which we
encounter the real presence of Jesus Christ. Please stop by or call the
parish office for age requirements for this sacrament.
Confirmation
Confirmation seals believers in the Spirit, anointing them and empowering
them to carry on the mission of Christ. Confirmation is the sacrament of
the fullness of the Spirit with his seven gifts. Please stop by or call
the parish office for age requirements for this sacrament.
Reconciliation/Confession
Tuesday at 6:00pm or by appointment – please call the parish office
to set date and time. We are all called at one time or another to have that
precious encounter with Jesus who can and will forgive our sins and restore
us to grace.
Marriage
Is a covenant that is a sacred contract with great religious importance.
Through this sacrament, God is intimately involved in the union of marriage
and it is God that provides the graces necessary to deal with the problems
and struggles of a marriage. For those planning to be married, please call
the parish office to set an appointment to speak with the parish priest
6 months prior to the date you have in mind.
Anointing of the sick
This sacrament is given to anyone who is seriously ill because of disease,
accident, or old age. The sacrament may be celebrated during a Mass, at
home, or in a hospital room. If you or a loved one is in need of this sacrament,
please call the parish office to schedule an appointment.
Quinceañeras
The quinceañera is a traditional celebration of life and gratitude to God
on the occasion of the fifteenth birthday of a young Hispanic woman. The
ritual emphasizes her passage from childhood to adulthood. Please call the
parish office for fees, time & date availabilities.
